Thomas Raab is an Austrian writer, translator, and editor with an educational back­ground as a scientist. He was born in 1968 in Graz and now lives with his family in Vienna. His first novel Verhalten, German for "Behavior", was published in 2002 in Cologne, and received critical acclaim. For fifteen years Raab has been focusing as a member of an artistic research group on the reactivation of the method of syste­matic introspection in the psychology of thought and affect. So far, Raab has released three monographic publications. Since 2013 he teaches creative writing at the University of Art and Design in Linz, Austria.

As a translator Raab from English to German specializes in art theory, philosophy, science, technology, and public relations.
